Tammy Guseman is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Walsh University. As a nurse and nurse practitioner, Tammy has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. Additionally, Tammy received her Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Ohio University. Tammy’s personal experience with Functional Medicine and hormone balancing influenced her decision in becoming a nurse practitioner using an integrative approach. Tammy is continuing to expand her education in Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy from the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). Tammy is married and is a mother to one adult daughter, who is also pursuing a career in nursing. She enjoys spending time with her husband, family, friends, her two German Shepherds, and caring for her many plants.

Dawn is a native to Akron, working as a nurse for 32 years and Lactation Consultant for 22 years. Due to circumstances with her family’s health, she developed an interest in the holistic approach to health and wellness. She decided to advance her education and become a nurse practitioner. Dawn is a mother to three college-age sons and an avid outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys trail running and cycling along with completing several marathons and 50k trail races. After years of running with Dr. Scott and hearing about functional medicine and hormone issues, she decided to come work for us!

Elizabeth Novy is a dedicated advocate for proactive, individualized, and transformative care, deeply committed to fostering collaborative partnerships with patients to develop personalized plans of care. With a comprehensive understanding of the complexities surrounding midlife women’s health, Liz holds certification as a Menopause Practitioner through The Menopause Society.
Liz’s journey into healthcare was catalyzed by personal and professional experiences, including navigating her own health challenges and the loss of a family member to cancer. Motivated by a desire to effect meaningful change, she transitioned from a career in interior design to pursue nursing, ultimately earning a Master of Science in Nursing from Ohio State University.
Drawing upon a diverse background that encompasses roles as a medical education specialist with Genova Diagnostics and extensive training in functional and integrative medicine, Liz brings a unique skill set to their practice. Proficient in advanced laboratory testing commonly utilized in functional medicine, they are equipped to offer comprehensive insights into patients’ health needs.
In addition to her clinical practice, Liz is deeply committed to education and advocacy. Leveraging her expertise, she actively participates in health and wellness coaching programs, where she strives to make complex health information accessible and actionable for individuals seeking to optimize their health.
Beth Kaczmar

Beth is a married mother of four children, loves to cook, especially transforming favorite dishes into low-calorie, low-fat, healthy recipes for family and friends to enjoy. She got a bachelors degree from the University of Akron in Nutrition and Dietetics. She has worked at both Akron Children’s Hospital as a diet tech and at Weight Watchers. More recently, she created Kaczmar’s Chocolate Covered Cookie Co. with her daughter after being runner up in Mrs. Field’s cookie contest. She has always stressed good health and nutrition without deprivation. Exercising is also a very big component in her life. While she had more time before having kids to regularly compete in triathlons, she has found a little time over the last few years to still participate in a few races, and have her daughter train with her to participate! She feels working out is one of the most important parts of her day still finds time between juggling her four kids and going through training to be a health coach for the Precision Nutrition team.
Salena Rothenberger

Salena is married with two living children. She and her husband spent many years struggling with infertility, losing their first four children. In 2014, her oldest living child was diagnosed with autoimmune type 1 diabetes. This caused her to delve headfirst into natural and functional medicine, and later nutrigenomics, as she pursued answers to why her perfectly ‘normal’ child developed a chronic health disease.
During that journey, her family physician strongly encouraged her to become involved in teaching others about natural health solutions. She became a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, Certified Health Coach and obtained certification in Nutrigenomics through NutriGenetic Research Institute. She has studied an additional 300+ hours in Functional Immunology, Autoimmunity Clinical Strategies, and other Functional & Herbal Medicine related training.
She is the founder of The Functional Perspective where she teaches individuals how to connect their genomics with their health to create a strategy for a clear path to restored wellness. Her mission is to redefine healthcare by providing others Clarity, Action steps, Resources, and Empowerment. (C.A.R.E)
