Learn more about Salena Rothenberger
Salena is married with two living children. She and her husband spent many years struggling with infertility, losing their first four children. In 2014, her oldest living child was diagnosed with autoimmune type 1 diabetes. This caused her to delve headfirst into natural and functional medicine, and later nutrigenomics, as she pursued answers to why her perfectly ‘normal’ child developed a chronic health disease.
During that journey, her family physician strongly encouraged her to become involved in teaching others about natural health solutions. She became a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, Certified Health Coach and obtained certification in Nutrigenomics through NutriGenetic Research Institute. She has studied an additional 300+ hours in Functional Immunology, Autoimmunity Clinical Strategies, and other Functional & Herbal Medicine related training.
She is the founder of The Functional Perspective where she teaches individuals how to connect their genomics with their health to create a strategy for a clear path to restored wellness. Her mission is to redefine healthcare by providing others Clarity, Action steps, Resources, and Empowerment. (C.A.R.E)
